"For the design of Planety I was inspired by old sci-fi posters from the 60s and 70s. Together with the illustrated planets, the concept becomes a mix of past and present design (although I usually think retro when I draw). The colors and patterns of the different planets are inspired by the planets as they look irl - based on a lot of blurry satellite images I should add! The coloring was a bit of a challenge since I was aiming for a color palette that fit nicely together, while needing to work so many different ones. The design is intended to appeal to young and old and in some ways be quite timeless, so that the product one day can be handed down to the next generation."
